Post subject: ATA IDE Disc not recognised on BIOS
Archived from groups: alt>comp>hardware (more info?)

Hello,

I have an ASUS P5GD1 motherboard and a Maxtor 80 Go hardrive.
At the startup, my hardrive is on the IDE list but it does not appear on
the BIOS.

I've already checked my IDE cable and my IDE ATA disc is configured as a
master.

Does anybody has an idea how to solve this issue ?

Thanks

If there is an available Type entry for a drive in BIOS, set it to Auto.
