I needed the same thing when I upgraded from my board that supported 8
devices. Get a seperate PCI IDE (raid) add-on card for about $15, then add
it on to a K7S8XE+ for about $50. Then you've got up to 10 drives. 8 ATA,
2 SATA. Next time you want/need a new board, you want have to search for
one that supports 8 drives.

I have a Asus A7V266-E too with a PCI Promise TX2000 and two PCI Maxtor =
ATA133 (Promise) supporting 11 HD drives, 2 CD-RW and 1 CD-ROM.
There are 6 free IDE yet.
But the system needs more than 3 minutes to start.
